How much would a 5 karat flawless princess cut diamond ring be?
Q. The ring was 5 karat (avalible in 4.5 and 4) princess cut diamond on a platinum band. Flawless. It has one stone on either side each being 1 karat. It was breathtakingly beautiful but the price wasn't listed. I really need to know how much it would be. I wanna propose to my gf. I'm prepared to spend from 10 to 60 grand. Is it in my budget or do I need to take a second morage on my house? How much is the 5 karat? The 4.5 and the 4?

A. Start at 100k+ for the center stone of 5 carats that is very good quality. Here is one at bluenile and it isn't flawless for over 100k.

What 5 albums do you think give the most complete view of hip hop?
Q. If someone had never heard any hip hop before and you had to try to explain it to them using only 5 albums, which ones would you choose? (and no adding extras, stick to just 5) Explain your choices too if you can.

A. hmm...i would try an "evolution of hip hop" approach, showing them the best of each era and how hip hop got to where it is today chronologically 1) Paid In Full - Eric B & Rakim 2) It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back - Public Enemy 3) Straight Outta Compton - NWA 4) Buhloone Mindstate - De La Soul 5) Arrhythmia - Antipop Consortium while some of them may not necessarily be the best albums, i think that they give the best impression of each type of hip hop over the years. some are better for hip hop neophytes (i.e. Buhloone Mindstate) while others are more complex (i.e. Arrhythmia) (kind of a big leap between Buhloone Mindstate and Arrhythmia and im leaving out a lot of stuff before Paid In Full (most notable Run DMC), but its… [cont.]

What is the largest power of 5 that divides the product of the first 100 positive integers?
Q. I need help on how to solve this problem, can you please explain how you did so I can understand. Power of 5 is like 5^x and remember, it's the LARGEST power of 5 that DIVIDES the PRODUCT of 1x2x3...98x99x100. Thanks! The product of those integers is a multiple of 5 because I've found a pattern showing it would end with 0. I still don't have the answer though.
Asked by Ayereiss K - Thu Jun 25 16:40:07 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The only numbers that contribute to this power of 5 are those that are multiples of 5. There are 100/5 = 20 multiples of 5. Also, multiples of 25 = 5^2 contribute another power of 5 apiece. There are 100/25 = 4 multiples of 25. So, the largest power of 5 dividing 100! is 20 + 4 = 24.

How similiar are 4 string and 5 string bass guitars when learning?
Q. I recently got a 5 string bass guitar and was planning on teaching myself until next year. However, I have found that most of the online lessons are for four strings. Is there must difference in the method? If so what are the main differences and is it ok to learn from one of the 4 string lessons on a 5 string? If anyone could supply a link to 5 string bass guitar online free lessons that would help. Thanks.

A. The difference in the method is that you've got two or three more low notes per scale. Just learn what they are, per key. Map out the notes on paper, then memorize that graph. Sublimate the repeating patterns that make up "musical structure."

How bad does a 5 day drug suspension look on my college application?
Q. I received a 5 day out of school suspension for being under the influence of marijuana at school. I am currently a freshman and I am 15 years old. I have a 3.5 gpa, I play 3 sports at the school, in debate club, in all honors courses and I speak fluent spanish. I have a sister at Georgetown and I plan on going to a big university as well. After today drugs will be out of my life for sure. Do i have any chance at attending a decent college.

A. They don't look at that stuff at all. Universities only look at what you send them like grades, activites, SAT scores, or letters of recommendation. I had a 5 day suspension for alcohol and have skipped weeks of school at a time and I still got into most of the UC's I applied to including UCLA. Just make sure to really stop doing those things or your gpa might get hurt. Good luck!

How many medium eggs are 5 large ones?
Q. I've my boyfriend's parents coming over in a bit for dinner and I'm not sure if there's a big difference between medium eggs and large eggs. 5 large eggs, says the recipe. Can I use 5 medium or should I add one more medium egg? I'm cooking a flourless chocolate cake. It's supposed to be really easy so I'm hoping I can't eff this up. Why is it that I can spot a tiny flaw in a contract and save my client several million, but I can't cook?

A. It really wouldn't matter at all because in most recipes eggs are used to keep things held together otherwise it may crumble and fall a part into pieces very easily, but this would depend on what your cooking. But i'd go for 6 medium eggs. They said large eggs for a reason :)

Q. I have question regarding the the signal trasmission of a 5.1 channel encoded sound.Ideally,to transmit 5 channel sound,it needs 5 cables for each channel. But today in DVDs there is only one coaxial digital output or optical output which will carry 5.1 channel sound to receiver. A. There is a thing called a "Codec" and Dolby labs came up with one called "AC3". It takes 6 channels of audio analog sound, compresses each channel and puts it into a single stream of data that can be pulled apart and decoded at the other end back into 6 channels. A. Shes Not a doll. You buy the clothes, so I have to assume what you buy is what you want her to wear. let her choose. Food is another thing. That's about tough love i think. The kids that get to choose their meals are typical the ones with obesity issues. I mean, what kid wouldn't want Chicken McNuggets and french fries everyday. I was always told that "this restaurant has one item on the menu - you can have this, or starve" And even though I didn't care for some thing much - I never starved. If you stop giving choices, i think she'll eventually stop fighting u about it. Dinner is dinner.

What is the distemper/parvo 5 way vaccine they give dogs sometimes called boosters?
Q. I want to know what is in the 5 way vaccine boosters. I know it protects them from parvo, and then one is a bordetella, but what is the distemper? Does the 5 way vaccine mean there are five different things the shots protects the puppy from?

A. Bordetella is a vaccine all by itself. The 5 way DHLPP vaccine is for distemper, hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus. There is also another vaccine often used that is the DA2PP and that covers Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvovirus and Parainfluenza. Different vets in different areas usually use different vaccines for diseases that are prevalent in the area. I know in many areas they just use the DHPP vaccine since Lepto isn't something that is commonly an issue.
